Type of award: Scholarship, renewable
Intended use: For undergraduate study at 2-year or 4-year institution in United States.
Eligibility: Applicant must be high school senior. Applicant must be U.S. citizen residing in Kentucky.
Application requirements: Recommendation from school official or GED coordinator, who must certify eligibility on KHEAA website.
Additional information: 3.5 GPA, and minimum 23 ACT score or minimum 1060 SAT score; or 2700 GED score.
Amount of award: Maximum $1,500 per year

American Legion Department Oratorical Awards
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For undergraduate study at accredited postsecondary institutions.
Eligibility: Applicant must be enrolled in high school. Applicant must be residing in Kentucky.
Additional information: Awards: First place, $1,000; second place, $800; third place, $600; and 11 $100 awards for District winners. Must be Kentucky Oratorical Contest participant.

Kentucky Teacher Scholarship Program
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate or graduate study at accredited 2-year, 4-year or graduate institution. Designated institutions: Participating Kentucky institutions.
Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen residing in Kentucky.
Application requirements: Proof of eligibility, FAFSA.
Additional information: Applicant must enroll in course of study leading to initial Kentucky teacher certification. Scholarship becomes loan if student does not complete education program or fulfill teaching obligation.

Early Childhood Development Scholarship
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For half-time undergraduate study at accredited 2-year or 4-year institution in the United States. Designated institutions: Approved Kentucky institutions.

Additional information: Part-time students working at least twenty hours in childcare facility eligible. Must agree to service commitment.

Applicant must be descendent of veteran; or dependent of veteran during Grenada conflict, Korean War, Lebanon conflict, Panama conflict, Persian Gulf war, WWI, WWII or Vietnam.
