Second Effort Scholarship
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at postsecondary institution.
Eligibility Requirements: Awards for outstanding Arkansas high school seniors with a 3.6 GPA or higher. Must be U.S. citizen. Applicant must be an Arkansas resident and enrolled in a two or four year Arkansas college or university.
Amount of award: $4,000-$5,000

Academic Challenge Scholarship

Scholarship
Intended use: For undergraduate study at postsecondary institution.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be at least 18, returning adult. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Arkansas. Applicant must have not graduated from high school. Must have scored in top ten on GED test in previous calendar year.
Amount of award: $1,000
Application deadline: Students do not apply for this award. Top ten scorers will be contacted by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.

Eligibility Requirements: Scholarship awarded to minority residents of Arkansas who are enrolled full time in a four year public or independent college, university, or technical institution. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, be a junior or senior in an approved teacher certification program and they must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be willing to teach in an Arkansas public school for at least five years after completion of thier tdeaching certificate.

Eligiblility Requirements: Award for full time time student in undergraduate program at an accredited two year or four year college, university, or technical institution. Applicant must demonstate high academic achievements and major in a field of computer science, food science, agriculture, or engineering. Submit application on Tyson foods website.

Military Dependents Scholarship Program
Type of award:
Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use:
For full-time undergraduate study at vocational, 2-year or 4-year institution in United States. Designated institutions: Public schools in Arkansas.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be high school senior. Must be U.S. citizen residing in Arkansas. Applicant must be dependent of POW/MIA who served in the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Reserves/National Guard. Parent/spouse may have been killed in action or ordinance delivery. Parent/spouse must have been Arkansas resident at the time of enlistment.
Additional Information: Award for tuition, fees, room, and board. Renewable up to four years. Applicant must maintain 2.0 GPA.
Amount of award: Full tuition.
