Good Jobs Without College

Do you have to get a college degree to land a high paying job? Not necessarily. Making money without a college degree is definitely possible and you may be able to earn just as much without a degree, and in some case, you can earn more.

There are many fields that are wide open to anyone who has the ambition to pursue them. Many people who have never been to college are looking to find employment and they are proving that just because you don't have a degree doesn't mean that you are not marketable.

People without degrees can get good paying jobs that require on the job training or they can start their own businesses using the experience learned while working elsewhere or by going to a technical school.

Experience is a valuable commodity in the real world and some jobs are physical labor oriented. This type of job may require brawn instead of brains. It may require a high level of skill that is attained without a college education, and in such a case, an employer will pay a high salary to keep a skilled worker in that position.

One of the best ways to pick up a skill and get paid doing it is by joining the military. The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and the Coast Guard offer hands on training in many fields that can benefit you once you get out and enter the civilian work force. In essence, you can pick up a valuable skill while serving your country.

Although there are good paying jobs to be had without the benefits of a college degree, it is always a good idea to get a college degree. Even if you get a good job without a degree, having a degree can help you move into a higher salaried position or into management. Many people earn their college degrees while working on regular hourly jobs.
