Football Collectibles

Over the years, football has grown to become one of the most loved games and is watched by millions around the world, with fans lining up at stadiums, or watching it on television in their homes, or at their favorite sports bar and restaurant.

Football cards, and other memorabilia, are collected by millions of fans around the world and the prices are soaring.

As with other sports, football collectibles are big business and some collectors will pay dearly for what they want.

Rookie cards, especially ones of a well known players or superstars, and items like a Joe Namath game worn jersey or shoulder pads worn by Bart Starr, especially if it has an original verifiable signature on it, are worth small fortunes.

A Joe Montana rookie card, an Emmit Smith rookie card, a Terry Bradshaw rookie card, a Jim Otto rookie card, or a Larry Csonka rookie card, are all valuable collectibles. And the list goes on.

If you can find football memorabilia dating back to early to middle 1900's when football was played by guys named Red Grange, Sammy Baugh, Y.A. Tittle, George Halas, and Jim Thorpe, snap it up.

Some items are purchased on the open market while others are sold and traded through private sales and auctions.

You can find football collectibles and memorabilia in malls, antique stores, swap meets, and at the stadiums.

All sports franchises, football, as well as baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, and other professional games, such as golf, billiards, archery, fishing, and hunting have internet web sites that you can go on to purchase collectibles.

Football fashion wear such as jerseys with the player's name and number on it, along with the official team logo, and other items of value are sold in stores and specialty shops.

You can find items such as sweat shirts, shorts, jackets, hats, socks, tennis and other football related shoes, and even underwear sold at airports and other places.

Some franchises have stores that cater to just their clothing, shoes, and other fashions and memorabilia, such as the Raider's store.

There, you can find penants, decals, magnets, photos, flags, cups, key chains, and many other collectible items.
